A. ALL USERS
Background
The Gators for Good Network is the University of Florida's community engagement and experiential learning platform, powered by GivePulse and administered through the Division of Student Life.
The platform serves as a centralized hub for students, faculty, staff, alumni, community organizations, and campus partners to discover, manage, track, and assess engagement opportunities, including volunteer service, community engagement, service-learning, community-based learning, leadership programs, fundraising initiatives, and other approved activities.
The goals of the platform are to:
• Connect members of the University of Florida community with meaningful engagement opportunities.
• Support collaboration between university and community partners.
• Track and document participation in engagement and community-based experiential learning activities.
• Increase visibility, accessibility, and impact of community-engaged experiences.

Terms of Use and Policy Acknowledgment
By accessing or using the Gators for Good Network ("Platform"), you acknowledge that you have read, understood, and agree to comply with these Terms of Service.
The platform is powered by GivePulse, a third-party service provider. Your use of the platform is also subject to applicable GivePulse terms, policies, and privacy practices.
The University of Florida reserves the right to modify, suspend, or discontinue services, content, or functionality at any time without prior notice.

User Responsibilities
All users agree to:
• Provide accurate, complete, and current information.
• Maintain the security of their account credentials.
• Use the platform in accordance with University policies and applicable laws.
• Respect the rights, privacy, and safety of other users.
• Represent themselves and their affiliations honestly.
Users may not:
• Misrepresent their identity or affiliation.
• Post fraudulent, misleading, unlawful, discriminatory, or harmful content.
• Use platform information for unauthorized commercial purposes.
• Collect, sell, or distribute personal information obtained through the platform.
• Interfere with the operation or security of the platform.

Content and Data Submission
Users are solely responsible for content submitted through the platform, including:
• Opportunities
• Events
• Experiences
• Reflections
• Assessments
• Communications
• Reports
• Photos and media
Users represent that submitted content:
• Is accurate and lawful.
• Does not infringe upon intellectual property rights.
• Does not violate privacy rights.
• Does not contain malicious software or harmful content.
The University reserves the right to remove content that violates these Terms or applicable policies.

Privacy and Data Use
Information submitted through the platform may be collected and used to:
• Facilitate participation in opportunities and events.
• Support communication among participants and organizations.
• Measure engagement and learning outcomes.
• Produce institutional reports, dashboards, and assessments.
• Support accreditation, compliance, and student success initiatives.
The University of Florida will not sell personal information collected through the platform.
Platform information may be accessible to authorized University personnel, approved community partners, and opportunity administrators as necessary to support participation and reporting.
Users should exercise discretion when sharing personal information with external organizations.

The University does not endorse, certify, guarantee, or assume responsibility for:
• Community organizations
• Volunteer opportunities
• Service opportunities
• Fundraising activities
• External events
Participation in opportunities is voluntary and undertaken at the participant's own discretion.

Account Suspension and Termination
The University of Florida may suspend or terminate access to the platform for violations of these Terms, University policies, or applicable laws.

B. COMMUNITY ORGANIZATIONS AND EXTERNAL PARTNERS
Organizations using Gators for Good Network agree to:
• Post only legitimate opportunities and activities.
• Maintain accurate organizational profiles and contact information.
• Protect confidential information shared through the platform.
• Use participant information solely for purposes directly related to platform-supported activities.
• Maintain all required risk management, liability, participant waiver, insurance, and release documents applicable to their programs, activities, and volunteer opportunities. Organizations are responsible for administering, retaining, and maintaining such records in accordance with their own policies and applicable laws. As a best practice, records should be retained for a minimum of five years for auditing, compliance, and risk-management purposes. The University of Florida is not responsible for creating, administering, collecting, reviewing, or enforcing organization-specific waivers or liability agreements.
Organizations may not:
• Sell participant information.
• Share participant information with unauthorized third parties.
• Use platform access for unauthorized marketing or solicitation activities.
Organizations are responsible for maintaining appropriate safeguards to protect information accessed through the platform.

C. UNIVERSITY OF FLORIDA STUDENTS, FACULTY, STAFF, ALUMNI, AND REGISTERED STUDENT ORGANIZATIONS
Professional Standards of Conduct
By participating in opportunities through Gators for Good Network, users agree to:
• Conduct themselves professionally and ethically.
• Accurately represent their skills, qualifications, affiliations, and experiences.
• Honor commitments made to community organizations and campus partners.
• Communicate promptly regarding cancellations or changes in availability.
• Comply with all applicable University policies and organizational requirements.
• Read, understand, and comply with any waivers, releases, participation agreements, or safety requirements required by the hosting organization. Participants are responsible for reviewing the terms of any documents they choose to sign.
• Abide by the University of Florida Student Honor Code and Student Conduct Code, including expectations related to honesty, integrity, respect, and ethical behavior as outlined in University Regulation 4.040. Student Honor Code and Student Conduct Code. (https://policy.ufl.edu/regulation/4-040/)

Data Privacy and Security
University users agree to:
• Follow all University of Florida technology-use, privacy, and data-security policies.
• Protect sensitive and restricted information.
• Use information obtained through the platform only for approved University purposes.
• Refrain from uploading restricted data unless specifically authorized and permitted by University policy.

Failure to Comply
Failure to comply with these Terms, University policies, or partner organization requirements may result in:
• Required meetings with University administrators.
• Removal from opportunities or programs.
• Suspension of platform privileges.
• Referral to appropriate University conduct processes.
• Additional disciplinary action as permitted by University policy.
• Failure to comply with these Terms of Service, University policies, including the University of Florida Student Honor Code and Student Conduct Code, or community partner requirements may result in suspension of platform privileges, removal from opportunities, referral to appropriate University conduct processes, or additional disciplinary action.
